Senior Vice-President, Business Intelligence, International Cooperative and Mutual Insurance Federation (ICMIF)

Faye Lageu is Senior Vice-President, Business Intelligence, of the International Cooperative and Mutual Insurance Federation (ICMIF). She has over 20 years of experience in supporting the development of the cooperative and mutual insurance sector.

InFaye’s current role, she is responsible for the Business Intelligence activities which help increase the sector’s competitive strength and enhance its reputation. This includes working with ICMIF members to develop and deliver their cooperative/mutual business strategies (producing unique market research, providing tailored advice, and/or through the ICMIF membership network), as well as representing the sector at a global level to raise awareness of its role, relevance and needs among key external stakeholders such as the IAIS, the global regulatory body, the United Nations and the Insurance Development Forum (IDF).

Faye is a regular writer and conference speaker, providing thought leadership about the cooperative/mutual insurance sector, in particular on the themes of sustainability, resilience and corporate governance.

Outside of work, Faye is executive director of a small community group, of which she led the restructuring into a cooperative in 2015.

Faye holds an MBA cum laude from the Nottingham University Business School, is an Associate of the Chartered Insurance Institute, and is fluent in French and Italian (English is her mother tongue), with a BA (Hons) in Modern Languages from the University of Salford.
